Eden Park travel guide
the easy way in
Train, Uber, scooter or on foot — how to get from The Fern to Eden Park for concerts, rugby, cricket and State of Origin, and how to beat the crowds home.

The quickest way in. Walk to Baldwin Ave station and take the Western Line towards the city — Kingsland is two stops away and sits right beside the stadium. Morningside, one stop earlier, is also an easy walk to the ground.
Many Eden Park tickets include free public transport — check the event page on at.govt.nz and use the AT Mobile app for live times.
Ride-share is usually a few minutes away in Mount Albert. On big nights, expect road closures around the stadium — get dropped in Kingsland or Morningside and walk the last stretch.
Eden Park has no public parking, and on event days the surrounding streets are reserved for residents and traffic management. Leave the car in your reserved space at The Fern and let someone else do the driving.
It's a pleasant walk through Mount Albert and Kingsland if the weather's kind. Lime and Flamingo e-scooters are around too, and the stadium has bike racks by Entry G (Reimers Ave) and opposite Gates B and D (Walters Rd) — scooters can't come inside.
After the All Blacks v Australia test in October 2026, fans waited up to 40 minutes for city-bound trains at Kingsland. Staying in Mount Albert helps: you're travelling the opposite way to most of the crowd.
Not in a rush? Let the platforms clear over a drink or dinner in Kingsland — The Portland Public House, Nanny's Eatery and UMU are all on New North Road (see our Mount Albert & Kingsland guide). By the time you're done, the trains and roads are quiet and you're home in minutes.
